Did you know?
One hard drive can hold the equivalent of hundreds of bankers boxes worth of information. Donβt let your digital information fall into the wrong hands!
Since the boom of cell phones, computers, and the internet; information is no longer purely physical. Our sensitive information such as bank statements, taxes, and medical records are stored on hard drives, SSDs, USBs, and even our phones. Just like with paper documents, these items should not be thrown away because identity thieves can take your computerβs hard drive or your old cell phone from the trash or landfill and read the information stored on the device.
Losing your information to digital identity thieves can be even more devastating than traditional identity theft because all of your information may be on that one hard drive. Treat your digital information as seriously as you would your paper information and utilize a shredding service!
